Free Eye Screening Camp at Lubhu
Netradham Foundation, in collaboration with Sankalpa Foundation and technical support from Netradham Eye Care Center, conducted a one-day free eye screening camp at Lubhu, Lalitpur on the 7th of October, 2023. The camp, which aimed to address general eye health concerns within the community, was executed with precision and garnered the participation of 171 individuals. Under the guidance of Dr. Nirsara Shrestha and Dr. Divya Shah, accompanied by a dedicated team of six members, the eye screening camp provided comprehensive services to individuals spanning the age spectrum from 1 year to 40+ year.
A meticulous and thorough eye examination was conducted, revealing diagnoses such as cataract and pterygium by Dr. Nirsara Shrestha. In recognition of the significance of early detection and intervention, those diagnosed with cataract and pterygium were promptly referred to Netradham Eye Care Center for further necessary procedures. The collaborative effort between Netradham Foundation, Sankalpa Foundation, and the technical expertise from Netradham Eye Care Center exemplified a commitment to community health and underscored the importance of organized initiatives in providing vital eye care services. The success of the camp, as evidenced by the proactive screening of 171 individuals and the subsequent referral for specialized procedures, highlights the positive impact of collaborative efforts in addressing eye health issues and ensuring comprehensive care within the community.
