Ghachok Surgical Camp

Netradham Foundation organized a three-day eye health camp, inclusive of free surgical interventions, conducted on 2079 Magh 4, 5, and 6, at the Ward Health Post of Machhapuchhre Gaun Palika-1 (Ghachok). This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Netradham Foundation, which organized the camp, technical support from Netradham Eye Care Center Pvt Ltd, and financial backing from Himalayan Bank Ltd. The strategic location of the camp at the Ward Health Post in Machhapuchhre Gaun Palika-1 (Ghachok) aimed to address eye health needs within the local community comprehensively. The event, spanning three days, marked an opportunity for the community to receive vital eye care services. Approximately 400 individuals availed themselves of the free eye treatment services provided during the camp, demonstrating the significant impact of the initiative on a large segment of the population. Furthermore, 26 individuals underwent free cataract eye surgeries, highlighting the commitment of the organizers to addressing critical eye health concerns. The provision of these essential services was carried out by a proficient team of eight individuals, operating under the leadership of Dr. Sanyam Bajimaya. The professional team ensured the delivery of comprehensive eye care, including examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures, thus contributing to the overall improvement of visual health within the community. The camp’s impact was evident in the diverse demographic it served, ranging from 6 months old to individuals as advanced as 90 years old, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the initiative.
