Eye Screening Camp at Health Home Care Nepal, Lalitpur

A successful Eye Screening Camp was held today at Health Home Care Nepal, Lalitpur, an old age care home that helps and cares for the elderly people.

A total of 47 patients were given a full assessment and consultation during the camp. The program was designed to have the additional goal of helping elderly residents to get the proper directives needed for further evaluation, treatment, or follow up care if necessary for the detection of common age-related eye diseases at an early stage.

The medical team comprised an Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract and Oculoplastic Surgery, Dr. Pranav Shrestha. His knowledge and analysis proved to be particularly helpful for older individuals who are more prone to developing issues like cataracts and other age-related eye diseases.

The camp proved to be a valuable experience in reaching out to the older citizens in a familiar and convenient setting with expert eye care. Such programs can help bring vision issues to light at an early stage, raise awareness about eye health and benefit the elderly by enabling them to preserve a good standard of living for the future.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the team at Health Home Care Nepal, the organisers, volunteers and all those who extended their hands to make this eye camp a success. Taking care of the vision of our seniors is a crucial component to promoting their health, safety and independence.
